Seam A2, Seam A1 and A1–A2 interburden

SOURCE-LED TECHNICAL READING

Geological interpretation and evidential boundary

This composite panel places Seams A2 and A1 beside the A1–A2 interburden and the partings that interrupt the coal. The comparison matters because a seam envelope is not the same as clean-coal thickness: A2 contains source-reported clay bands or partings about 2–15 cm, while A1 contains bands or partings about 2–8 cm, and the intervening package is fine, locally tuffaceous sandstone. The panel supports vertical ordering and practical marker recognition; the repeated material in the later thesis is provenance continuity rather than independent replication.
